Itinerary

Day 1.- Cochabamba – Uyuni 522 km

Your day starts at 8:00 a.m. with breakfast at the hotel. From there, we transfer to the Andino Experience offices and set off for Oruro to refuel and refresh. Next, ride into the Bolivian highlands through Huari before arriving at Colchane, where your hotel awaits.

Day 2.- Uyuni – Uyuni 200Km

Start the day early with a spectacular sunrise over the salt flats—one of the world’s true natural wonders. Then ride across the salar to discover hidden spots and remarkable sites, with a few surprises kept secret to make every moment unforgettable.

Day 3.- Uyuni – Copacabana 672Km

Head toward Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. Journey across the Bolivian highlands through Oruro and La Paz, stopping to capture the increasingly scenic views as you near Copacabana. Upon arrival, board a boat to explore the lake’s iconic sites and savor the region’s renowned fresh trout.

Get a good night’s rest, tomorrow brings a full-on day of riding.

Day 4.- Copacabana – Coroico – La Paz 350Km

Get ready for the legendary Death Road! We depart early from Copacabana toward La Paz, enjoying final glimpses of Lake Titicaca’s unforgettable scenery. Navigate La Paz’s lively traffic, follow the route out of the city, and watch as the landscape transforms from Andean heights to the tropical Yungas on the way to Coroico. Next comes the legendary Death Road: 25 km of pure adrenaline with dizzying cliffs and narrow trails. We’ll head back via the main Yungas highway to La Paz.

Day 5.- La Paz Full Day

Bolivia may be coming to an end, but not without immersing yourself in this wonderful city. Its gastronomy, culture, and history will show you how diverse Bolivia can be, all within a single city like La Paz.

Day 6.- La Paz – Iquique 700km

We leave Bolivia heading toward Iquique, Chile. Our route takes us first to the city of Oruro, located 241 km from the Chilean border. Along the way, we’ll shed our warm clothing as the climate shifts to the warm desert of Chile, continuing until we reach the city of Iquique.

Day 7.- Iquique – Antofagasta 563km

This ride is sure to rank in your top five favorites. Let the road and scenery lead the way, pausing in Tocopilla to recharge before heading to the world-famous biker landmark, the “Hand of the Desert.” Cap off a fantastic day with a stop at Antofagasta’s coastal bars.

Day 8.- Antofagasta – San Pedro de Atacama 337km

The Atacama Desert welcomes us; one of the most extreme places on Earth—where altitude and heat are once again factors to consider. On the way, we’ll stop in Calama to recharge and stroll through this city rich in history. Little by little, you’ll sense your arrival in San Pedro de Atacama, as its deserts, salt flats, volcanoes, geysers, and hot springs greet you.

Day 9.- San Pedro de Atacama – Purmamarca 411km

Can you feel that you’re right in the heart of the Andes Mountains? Today we complete our crossing of the Andes en route to Purmamarca. Cross the border into Argentina, traveling through striking salt flats and scenic roads. The highlight is the renowned Cuesta de Lipán, a dramatic zigzagging climb where panoramic views await before descending into Purmamarca.

Day 10.- Purmamarca – Tarija 417km

We leave the desert behind and enter the mountainous valleys of Argentina and Bolivia, known for their multi-colored peaks, predominantly in shades of red. We cross another border to re-enter Bolivian territory. From La Quiaca, only 90 km separate us from Tupiza before we finally reach Tarija, the cradle of Bolivian wine.

Day 11 – Tarija and the Wine Route: 40 km

We deserve a break, but we’ll keep enjoying this great journey with the Wine Route. Taste the best Bolivian wines and learn their history on this scenic tour through the Tarija valleys.

Day 12.- Tarija – Santa Cruz de la Sierra 665km

The final day takes us deep into the Bolivian Chaco. Today’s route will be like a final exam, with high temperatures and the famous 40 km “El Angosto” gravel stretch adding plenty of fun to the ride. You’ll soon notice the change in scenery as we approach Santa Cruz, marked by the lush landscapes of Bolivia’s eastern lowlands. Enjoy Santa Cruz’s warm climate and diverse gastronomy.
