A journey through the historic cities where Bolivia was born. Ride mountain roads that shift with every change in vegetation; visit Sucre, the White City; pass through Potosí with its rich mining history; marvel at the immense Uyuni Salt Flats and the world’s highest lake. Cap it all off with the legendary Death Road in La Paz—an adventure like no other.

Día 1.- Arribo a Cochabamba

Early in the morning you’ll arrive in the valley city of Cochabamba. A bus will pick you up and take you to your hotel in one of the city’s best areas. By mid-morning, we’ll head to the Andino Experience offices, where you’ll receive your welcome pack and we’ll hold the trip briefing. Cochabamba is the perfect city for acclimatization, at 2,558 meters (8,392 ft) above sea level. Are you ready?

Day 2: Cochabamba → Sucre (337 km)

The adventure begins! Early in the morning we head toward Sucre, the White City and Bolivia’s capital. We’ll ride through the valleys of Cochabamba and start climbing into the Bolivian mountains. Around midday we’ll arrive in Sucre, where you’ll enjoy Bolivia’s history by visiting iconic sites, tasting traditional food, and staying in historic hotels.

Day 3.- Sucre – Cayara 180 km

We’ll set out very early toward Potosí. The landscape will begin to change as we enter the Bolivian highlands. Beautiful mountains and open roads will be perfect for enjoying the ride. Upon arriving in Potosí, located at 4,090 m (13,420 ft) above sea level, we’ll visit one of Bolivia’s most important museums and have a traditional lunch before continuing to Cayara, 15 km from Potosí, where we’ll spend a magical night filled with history.

Day 4.- Cayara – Uyuni 236 km

The adventure continues! We start the morning visiting Bolivia’s oldest hydroelectric plant, then ride on to the magical Uyuni Salt Flats. Spend a calm afternoon at one of the region’s top hotels and rest up—tomorrow brings a full day of exploration.

Day 5 – Uyuni and Surroundings: 150 km

Enjoy a hearty breakfast and get ready to venture deep into the salt flats. You’ll visit islands, sculptures, and monuments made of salt. Savor a delicious lunch in the middle of the salar and witness one of the most breathtaking sunsets in the region. At the end of the day, return to the hotel to rest.

Day 6.- Uyuni – Copacabana 656 km

The journey continues toward Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. Cross the Bolivian highlands, ride past Oruro—famous for its carnival—and El Alto at 4,150 m (13,615 ft). End the day in Copacabana, where your hotel overlooks the lake’s sparkling shores.

Day 7: Full Day at Lake Titicaca

Wake up to stunning lake views, then cruise the world’s highest lake to visit Isla del Sol and Isla de la Luna. Savor fresh trout for lunch on floating islands and explore the area’s unique attractions.

Day 8.- Copacabana – Coroico 247 km

Disfruta de un último amanecer en el lago y prepárate para cruzar del altiplano a la selva tropical en dirección a Coroico. Pasaremos por La Paz, donde viviremos la experiencia del tráfico local, antes de subir a 4,500 msnm y luego descender hacia Coroico, una localidad en lo alto de las montañas. ¡No olvides tomar muchas fotos en la famosa Carretera de la Muerte!

Day 9.- Coroico – La Paz 120 km

Before heading to La Paz, visit one of Bolivia’s key wildlife refuges to meet the local fauna. Then continue on to discover the vibrant city of La Paz—are you ready? It’s a short ride, but the traffic itself is part of the adventure. Ride through the city from north to south before arriving at your hotel.

Day 10.- Full day La Paz 30 km

Discover one of Bolivia’s marvelous cities. Take a cable car ride, wander streets brimming with handicrafts and remarkable architecture, and savor a gourmet traditional meal that will truly impress you. You’ll be asking yourself why you didn’t visit sooner!

Day 11.- La Paz – Cochabamba 380 km

Spend the final hours in La Paz before riding back to Cochabamba. As we ride, we leave the Bolivian highlands behind and descend back into the lush Cochabamba valleys. We’ll end this beautiful journey with a delightful farewell dinner before departing from this wonderful country.
